how can i view .idx files

trying to view some .idx files that were left on my computer by yahoo. please
help

Not sure what this has to do with Word?

idx files were index files for older versions of MS Outlook Express. 4.0 for
sure, possibly 5.0.
Unless your using and older version of OE, you don't have use for the files,
at least in a standalone capacity without the necessary accompanying files.
