How can i use the dash character, "-", to sort data?

If i wanted to sort the info below into two different columns, how would I do
it?SOMRVLLE - SOMERVILLE
SOUTH - SOUTHERN REG.
ST. JOHN - ST. JOHN VIANNEY
ST. ROSE - ST. ROSE HIGH
ST. ROSE - ST. ROSE HIGH
STAF - SOUTHERN REG.

use 'Data - Text to columns' to split the content into two columns

Data>Text to Columns>De-limited>Next. Click "Other". Enter your - and
Finish.
