How can I use non-TrueType fonts in Word?

I'd like to use the FixedSys in Word (and e-mail). At one point I was able
to paste text in in this font, but it's started converting it to another font
when I paste. How do I turn this back on?

Hmm, that's a start, but doesn't explain why Word stopped allowing me to post
in text as FixedSys, and now it does font replacement when I paste. Surely
there must be a way to turn the font replacment off.

Word can only use the fonts that the current printer driver is capable of
printing. FixedSys is a screen font.
