how can i turn off caps lock

I can't turn off the caps lock facility, whatever the status of the button i
still type in caps!!

Check Format | Font to see if your text is formatted as All Caps. Or
possibly you're using a font that has no lowercase?

To: Geejaypee,

Most likely you accidentally hit Ctrl+Shift+A. It toggles on and off All Caps.
You can also check your style to see if it has All Caps checked.
Another possibility is that some fonts are All Caps.
But I would guess it is the first one.
