How can I speed word 2007, is taking 7 mins to open a simple file

I buy the new word 2007 but any time that open a simple word file is taking
more than 7 minutes to open it, this is terrible for me, I'm not sure if this
normal or should I need to disable somenting, as I saw when word is trying to
open the file there something on the status bar saying verifying againt
viruses... I don't undestand, hope somebody can help me.

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the Office
Plugin that comes with it (but don't disable Norton AutoProtect). See
