Am using Excel 2000, my last column contains text, some short & some quite
long. The alignment feature has been activated yet #### are shown across the
line both on screen and the printed copy. These #### mean nothing to me for
a printed report, as it is the entered text that is important. As I am not
that computer-literate but can follow directions, is there anyone who may
have encountered this problem able to pass on a solution. It is very very
frustrating, especially since the data being entered does have some long text
which really should conform to the "alignment" feature within Excel. As I am
a senior at home without access to other Excel users, any help is greatly
appreciated. Thank you.

You're seeing the ####'s for the cells with pretty long text?

If yes, then try changing that cell's format from Text to General.
(Format|cells|Number tab|General)
