How can I share a folder inside another folder on a Windows 2000
Server?

The server allowed me to create a shared folder, and setup another
shared folder inside it, but for some reason files are opening as Read
Only.

Folder Name Share Permissions Access Type

DOCUMENTS Everyone Read Only access
Johndoe Full Access

DOCUMENTS/URGENT

I setup permissions exactly the same for DOCUMENTS/URGENT, so why
can't user "Johndoe" modify a MS-Word document in the Urgent folder as
he can in the Documents folder?

Thanks for any help

You have to Inherit Permissions in the Security Tab of the Parent Folder by clicking on Security Tab and then Advanced and again click Advanced and then there will be tick you to inherit child objects...it should be done after you click on reply...

Thanks for the reply. It turns out the problem was simply the
orginal files in that particular folder were setup as Read-Only, so it
wasn't a networking problem as I thought.
