I have just installed Outlook 2000 on my WinXP machine, in which I have
3 different accounts setup, one of which is my home email. I want to be

able to select it (the home email) when I am getting ready to send the
email, which I used to be able to when I had it on my previous Win2000
machine. I remember that I could right-click on the "Send" button, and
I could change the sender's email acct. when I had Outlook installed on
my
older (previous to this one) computer (Win2000 OS). But now I cannot.

Is there something different in the way XP handles Outlook? Does it
make any difference if I am using Word to compose the emails? I would
think not.

TIA

Windows XP doesn't handle mail. If you used Outlook 2000 on Windows 2000
and are now using Outlook 2000 on Windows XP, your mail is being handled by
exactly the same program that handled it before.

And I would think that it does. If I recall my use of OL 2000, there was a
drop-down arrow on the Send button that allowed me to choose the correct
account. OL 2002 and 2003 have an Accounts button next to the Send. I use
only the Outlook editor for mail, so I don't have any experience with
Wordmail.

Brian,

You are right. It DOES make a difference if you use Word. I just changed it so
that Word is not my default editor, and it is working fine now. Thanks for
your help!
