How can I see tabs on a Microsoft Word document?

G'Day Celine,

1. In the text (tabs you have typed):
On the standard toolbar there is a button with a '¶' on it. This button
will 'toggle' On and Off the display of non-printing characters such as
spaces, tabs, paragraph markers etc.
This display is controlled in
Tools>Options
View (tab)
Formatting marks (section)
'Tab characters' Or 'All' - CHECK the box

2. On the Ruler:
a. There are 'tick marks' every 1/2 inch for the default tabs
b. If you insert tabs yourself, they will appear on the ruler - see:
