How can I save our company color as a standard in Word?

I want to save a specific color to the standard choices for text and tables.
is that possible? I am tired of going to custom color and inputing the three
numbers.

Create a character style (http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/stylesms/index.html)
that consists only of the custom font color, and store that style in Normal.dot
or a global template (one that lives in the Word Startup folder).

You can assign a toolbar button or keyboard shortcut to the style to make it
easy to apply
(http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AsgnCmdOrMacroToToolbar.htm or
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AsgnCmdOrMacroToHotkey.htm).

If by "tables" you mean the background color for table cells, that's not so
simple. In theory you could define a table style that includes it, but see
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/tablestyles/index.html.

So it is not possible to add a color to the Standard Colors displayed under
the Font section?

I regularly highlight a few words in blue (0, 0, 255). After creating this
color option, it shows up under Recent Colors. However, after I shut down
the file, and bring it up later, this color option disappears from Recent
Colors.

I don't want to have to create the color blue for _all_ of the styles and
then select a different style for the times I want a blue color for a couple
of words. Any other choices?

You don't have to create 'all the styles' with a blue colouring. You merely
have to create one CHARACTER style with blue colouring, which you can apply
to 'a couple of words'.
