How can I retrieve information from disks (saved in win 98 SE)

My files and graphics, etc. are saved to CD-RW disks...>> <<Good.
As sqr and Harry point out, if the CD's were written with packet writing
software (Direct CD or InCD) then you'll need to install the XP
compatible version of that software first in order to properly read the
disks.<<

How do I install a windows XP version? I checked, and my other computer
used Adaptec Direct CD Wizard (came with the computer). I found
instructions to close out a CD-R disk, but not the CD-RW, which is what I
used... Thanks again for your help! :)
