There are instructions to set a text box style, colour, size etc., as a
default value......and this helps me to create new text boxes as a clone.

Now I already have another text box...and would like to apply the format
(size, shape, colour etc.,) how can I reset this.

I've seen a "Reset" option in the Graph's

You can use the Format Painter. Where it is depends on which version of PPT
you're using, but the icon looks like a paintbrush.

Create a textbox with your default formatting. Select the textbox. Click the
painbrush (format painter). Then click the textbox you want to "paint" the
formatting to. You can double-click to make the FP "sticky" if you want to
paint formatting to a lot of objects at once. Hit Esc to get out of format
painting mode.

You'll have to create or find an object with the formatting you want every
time you use the Format Painter.

So you don't have to keep creating textboxes with the formatting, you can
use Pick Up Style and Apply Style instead of the Format Painter. With these
tools, also known as the "eyedroppers," you can create a textbox with your
default formatting, use Pick Up Style to pick up that style, and it stays in
the Pick Up Style tool until you pick up another style. Use Apply Style to
apply it whenever you want.

You have to add these tools to your toolbar in 2003 or to the Quick Access
Toolbar in 2007.
