How can I pause a presentation to allow another one to run?

Here is my scenario:
I have created a main presentation, that includes a looping background
sound, and a hyperlinked menu. This menu links to a custom show, which has
its own background sound as well. The problem is that during the slide show,
whenever a user opens the custom show, the two background sounds begin to
overlap, creating a rather disturbing jumble of interference. I need the
sound in the main show to stop so the other can play, but then resume after
the custom show has finished. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Austin,

Try the "stop previous sound" technique.

It's buried in the slideshow > slide transition menu > under sound > scroll
to end
