Hi,

I have to first appreciate the question. This is a very interesting
Question. It look some time to think over the question. So you want to open
an HTML file in Word when ur using a web Browser.
1.) When you open a Web- browser like IE( Internet Explorer), you see the
contents of the page. To open the HTML file in Word one of the best option
would be to save the File in *.doc format or *.txt. I had test this with
Word 2003.
So open the HTML that u want to view in Word, Click on File->Click on Save
as, You will have the option of saving the file in *.txt. So save the file
in *.txt, then open the *.txt file in Word. SO you would see the HTML file
in Word.

2) The other best option would be to save the file in HTML format, and open
the HTML file in Word. In Word,Click on File open, select "Show all files"
Now click on the HTML, now you would be Open the HTML in WOrd.

Please let me has this helped You...

Thank You...

Raghu...

I think this question is not yet answered - as I am looking for this answer as well.

I believe the original post wanted to know how to open an HTML document in Word from the browser. So, via a link. Let's say there is an html document somewhere. I need my users to be able to click a link to that document, but it needs to open up directly in Word so that they can edit it & do their changes.

So essentially, like now, when I right-click on a .html file, I can say Edit in Microsoft Word. I need to do this by simply clicking a link.

I know I can save an HTML file as a Word doc, and all of those other ways. But I want to skip this step, for the sake of the user, and open an HTML file in Word from the browser.

Does someone know of a macro or script out there?

Thanks.
