How can I move a line of text up by one-half of a line?

I am trying to line up lines to print onto a form. I need to move the lines
up one-half of a line in order to get everything lined up. I am using Word
2000 9.0.6926
 
One way would be to insert an { ADVANCE \u 6 } field at the beginning of the
line you want to move up. The 6 means 6 points (there are 72 points in one
inch), and you can change the 6 to a larger or smaller value to suit your
purposes.

Another way would be to type your text into floating text boxes (instead of
 
It's easier to not move it down than to move it up. If, for example, you're
positioning text by inserting Enters to get to the approximately correct
location, use one less Enter and adjust the line spacing or Space Before of
the line in question.
