How can I maintain formating when exporting a report to .txt?

I have report set up - that I need to maintain the formating when exporting
to a .txt file. The columns stay fine - but it adds a lot of "hard returns"
or blank lines between some of the rows. It's inconsistant - on where it
adds the lines. Any thoughts?

That's because reports are a graphics image and not anything
like text. Even when you spend hours setting all the text
boxes/labels to try to match the height of the characters in
a text file, you will not get it exactly right.

If you want a text file with the same data as your report,
export the report's record source table/query instead of
messing with the report.
