How can I keep frontpage from changing my .tpl documents to .html.

I run a site using the efiction script. All of my pages within the fanfiction
section of my site are in tpl format. I'm trying to modify my skins, as I'm
unifying the site theme, and every time I open one, Front Page turns it into
HTML format. Is Frontpage capable of using .tpls? Or is there some option I
have to update in the program? I just did the basic install, so it might be a
capability I have to add. Thanks for anyone's help!

Are you talking about PHPbb tpls?

Dunno much about PHPbb ..but I do know if you're running a forum/portal with FP it's best to have the forum/portal in a subweb. And, I wouldn't use FP to modify the skin files directly.

No, efiction is a fanfiction script. I'm making new skins for it. All of the
pages are in .tpl format. Can I view and change .tpl files in FP? If I can't,
this was a pretty pointless purchase.

The best you can do is set FP to be the editor for .tpl files and see what happens or set FP to use
Notepad to edit the .tpl files.

FP is a HTML editor and web site management application.
