How can I incorporate my logo on a PowerPoint template?

I am preparing my first PowerPoint under my new company.
I have a corporate logo I want to appear on each PowerPoint view.
I'm using PowerPoint on Windows XP.

When you have come up with a format that you like, click on View Master,
slide Master and insert you logo onto the Master slides. Close the Master,
and save what you have as a Template file (.pot) This will make it available
for whatever presentations you create in the future.
