How can I import a PDF file into a PowerPoint 2007 slide?

I have several .pdf files I need to import into a power point presentation.
If necessary, I can run them through ABBA to decompile them and use word
formating, but I would like to bypass this step. they are company files that
were created before I started here, and the original word format file is
missing.

TIA

It depends on what kind of result you're after. If you want to convert one PDF
page to one PPT slide, it may be simplest to work with images:

Import PDF content into PowerPoint

These won't be editable, of course, but will retain the formatting of the
original PDF.

If you need to make minor edits, you could do that in Acrobat or similar before
converting to images.

For major editing/reformatting, I imagine a decompile will be necessary.

If you have Acrobat (not just the free reader) you can export every page as a
number of graphic formats (TIFF, PNG, JPEG, others).
