how can i get hold of the main instulation disc for win xp

my friends computor went wrong i dont now what went wrong but he lost
everything and needed to reinstall winxp but doesnt have the correct disc one
of his mates tryed putting on enother disc but it says it needs to activate
and wont let him i gather this is piracy but he didnt now this he does now
and hes stuck doesnt no what to do what does he need to do if there is a disc
i can get hold of does anyone no where i can get it from.he needs the
computor for his buisness so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Is someone supposed to try to make sense out of this.
Computers have commas, periods, question marks, shift keys to make
capital letters, etc., so that reading what you wrote becomes easy.
Try posting to the proper newsgroup next time.
The Access in this groups title refers to Microsoft Access, a database
program. Oh yes, use proper punctuation and capital letters where
appropriate. You will lose a lot of potential repliers if they are as
unwilling as I am, to wade through this.

If he does not have the original disk, you might try contacting the
supplier of the computer to see if they will help. They should (and you
should demand) supply the disk at the time of sale. Some don't and many of
those are illegal copies.
