how can i get Excel to autofill an unusual sequence?

Excel used to recognize and autofill any sequence i started with 2 or 3
cells. I can't get Excel to perform that type of autofill now. Am I
misunderstanding something?

I think I remember reading somewhere that your list must have at least 5 rows
before this feature kicks in.

Ignore my previous response. I think I misunderstood your question. I thought
you were referring to AutoComplete rather than AutoFill.

The only time I've been able to screw this up is when I have the range filtered.

Any chance you have your range filtered?
