How can I find 2 unread emails the Welcome screen says I have?

My screensaver reverts to the MS Welcome screen after 30 minutes. When I goo
to use the PC I notice that under my user name there is a message telling me
that I have 2 unread emails on my account. However I cannot see them in MS
Outlook. The message on the Welcome screen reports that the 2 emails are
addressed to my email account but with a (2) after it which suggests that I
have set up the account twice - but again, there is only one account in
Outlook.
Can any one help?
