How can I e-mail a document without comments showing?

How can I e-mail a document, and hide the comments from the e-mail recipient?
Is this possible in Word 2003
 
Save a copy of the document, delete the comments from it and convert it to
PDF (you'll need extra software - Primo PDF is free and will do the job)
showing only those parts you want the recipient to see.
