How can I disable the popup toolbar (the "useful" buttons in the lower left
corner) in a powerpoint show. I know how to disable them in powerpoint
itself, but if i save my presentation as a show and open it on another
computer, the toolbar is still there.

The setting is an application level setting and not a document level
setting. What it means is that whether or not it is available is the choice
of the user on that machine.

Hi, this much I get, but the problem is that in a powerpoint show you cannot
actually change the application settings since there is no "application
environment", only the full screen presentation. Or is this simply a "you
cannot"?

Thanks for the reply (so far hopefully)

What Shyam is saying is that this setting is computer dependent, not
presentation dependant. You can't save this setting in your presentation
such that it always acts this way on someone else's computer. If you want
this to always be the case (no popup menu), you would need to tell everyone
that you know to change it on their machines.

Hope this helps (or is what you are asking).

Bill, this was the answer i was looking for (and was afraid of). The ppt-show
I made has to be completely fool-proof and accessible for computer
illiterates, so your suggestion is not really an option. The problem was that
the popup-toolbar was interfering with my selfmade hyperlinks which i had put
in the lower left corner...

Thanks for the help, Martijn
