how can I delete outlook express and keep the rest of office. I only use
Hotmail to sent files from my docs but when ever a outlook update loads it
changes the setings to outlook and I spend ages trying to reset every thing
back to hotmail.
Can I delete outlook express and leave the rest of the Office program

Firstly, Office comes with Outlook, NOT Outlook EXPRESS.

You can certainly remove OUTLOOK from the Office installation. Do it
through Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs. Hightlight Microsoft Office
and click on "Change".

Outlook Express isn't part of Office, it's part of Windows. You can't
delete Outlok Express anyway and why would you care? Outlook updates do not
affect Outlook Express in any way whatsoever. They're entirely separate
applications. If all you access is Hotmail and don't need any of the
features of Outlook, just continue using Outlook Express instead and either
leave Outlook alone (i.e., never run it) or remove it from the Office
installation. If, instead, you'd rather use Outlook, then just stop using
Outlook Express. If you don't run it, it can't access mail. It doesn't
have to be uninstalled. If you insist, though, on wanting to remove access
to Outlook Express, click Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove
Programs>Add/Remove Windows Components, uncheck Outlook Express, and click
Next.

I have a feeling you're confusing Office Outlook and Outlook Express.
