How can I delete emails from Outlook without opening them first?

I am trying to control my spam junk mail better. I would like to be able to
delete emails without opening them first, but can't figure out how to. I
would also like all spam junk mail to go directly to the deleted messages
folder instead of into the junk mail folder. I would like to see all emails
before deleting them, because sometimes the filter sends a legitimate email
into the junk mail folder. For that reason I don't wish for all mail that
has been filtered out as "junk" to be automatically permanently deleted. I
just want it to go to the deleted mail folder where I can see them before
deciding which to delete. Any help would be appreciated.

Let the junk go into the Junk folder to be checked, then after looking at
headers, hold down the shift key + delete to delete permanently.
