How can i decline a meeting but still keep it in my calendar?

I get heaps of meeting requests and I would want to be able to see also those
meetings that my PA have declined in my calendar. Often a meeting gets
canceled and I want to be able to revisit other meetings on the now available
timeslot.

It appears Outlook lacks this important functionality. Is there a workaround
of any sort?

There's a setting you can change. Tools | options | Email Options | advanced
email Options | set it to not remove messages from the Inbox when
responding.

Some of my clients even make a sub-folder Calendar and drag those meeting
requests in there in case they need them later.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
