How can I create up a stock control system in Excel?

I want to create a simple stock control system in excel where sales are
deducted from current stock levels and also create the new order. Any help
would be appreciated. However, I am very inexperienced when it comes to excel
so if anyone can help me please keep it basic! Thanks
