How can I change the vertical alignment in a line of text?

I have an object (an equation created using MathType(TM)) inserted in a line
of text. The object is vertically centered with the line of text instead of
bottom-justified, which is throwing off the line spacing of that particular
line. Is there a way I can alter the vertical alignment of the object with
respect to the text?

Hi,

You could try changing the MathType object's layout formatting from 'in line with text' to 'tight' (see Format|Object), after which
you might need to reposition it to exactly where you want it. You might also need to anchor the object to a particular character and
lock it, so that it moves with the associated text.

You might also try Tools|Options|Compatibility and checking the 'Don't add extra space for raised/lowered characters' and/or 'Don't
add leading (extra space) between rows of text' options. I'm not sure if either will have an effect in this case, but it might be
worth a try.

Cheers
