You have complete control over style visibility. If this is Word 2002 or
2003, select Custom at the bottom of the Styles and Formatting task pane. In
the Format Settings dialog, choose All Styles for the category, and then
check the styles you want to be visible.
In Word 2007 you have even more control. On the Home tab, click the dialog
launcher for the Styles dialog and click on the Manage Styles button (third
from the left in the bottom left corner). This opens a dialog that allows
you to choose not only which styles to display but also the order in which
they are displayed. You can choose to recommend or restrict styles in a
given document or in a template. The Recommend tab allows you to select when
and in what order styles are displayed.
