How can I automatically create a table of contents or an index of all the
slide titles within a powerpoint presentation please ?
I do not want to manually use Slide Sorter, select slides, create slide
summary.

Ideally this automatically produced TOC or Index can be inserted at the
front or end of the presentation - similar function to MS Word is needed for
Powerpoint.
Many thanks
Chris

Chris,
Not natively no. If you don't need slide numbers and your titles are all in
title placeholders (without punctuation) you can make a summary slide.
Select the "Outlining" toolbar. Select the slides you want in the TOC, click
on the Summary Slides button, i believe it is the last but one button on the
toolbar.
Be aware that there must not be a slide without a title placeholder in your
selection or the button will be greyed out.
Also : there is an add-in written by Bill Dilworth that you can find here:

This add-in has the ability to do what you want. So thank Bill.
