How can I associate a user with a different Documents and Settings Directory

I had to re-install my Windows XP. I did what I think is called a dirty
install (I installed over the same directory without reformatting).

My previous installation only had one user, named "Jeffrey".

During the re-installation, it required me to enter a user. It would not
accept the name "Jeffrey" (it already existed). So I entered the user
"Nobody".

But somehow, Nobody was never created (that user does not exist in the
Control Panel Users app). The only user I have is one named Jeffrey -- but
Jeffrey is associated with the directory C:\Documents and Settings\Nobody.

I want to associate the user Jeffrey with the directory C:\Documents and
Settings\Jeffrey, so I can get all of my old data and settings (such as
Outlook data) back. Can anyone tell me how to do that, or where to find out
how (I'm even willing to pay for support, but MS pay support didn't even
understand the problem).

Thanks in advance.
