How can I adjust CD-ROM cache in XP system?

Pls refer to the link. I got some wrong benchmark records. So I want to
close 'Read ahead' or ' Caching" in XP.Does anybody have some suggestion
about these?

The article is for Windows 95 and seems not to apply to Windows XP. I
would contact the author of the benchmarking program for help.
