CD-ROM ACCESS is MISSING / ERROR CODE 39

I've read the instructions to fix this problem at this

Problem is I cannot delete the recommended Keys from the
Registry. Error says:

"Cannot Delete - Error While Deleting Key"

What do I have to do to delete the suggested keys to fix
this problem?

Thank you so much for your help. This problem has been
driving me crazy for 2 weeks now.

Just a hunch Daryl but try it in safe mode.Error 39 has

to do with a corrupted driver maybe it wont be running in
safe mode?

Make sure you have admin rights. Or you might be able to
copy the registry to your desktop, make the change there,
and then copy it back.
