I'm trying to add my newest employment to my resume...when i move the
previous stuff down and try to put in the new It doesn't follow the same
format and then doesn't match the original. How can I fix this? Help!!

The easiest way (but perhaps not the "cleanest" if you're a purist) is to
copy formatting from a paragraph that looks the way you want the new material
to look. Type in the new material, ignoring the fact that the format doesn't
match right now. Then put your cursor in an old paragraph that looks the way
you want the new material to look and hit Ctrl-Shift-C. This will copy the
formatting from that paragraph. Then move your cursor into the new paragraph
and hit Ctrl-Shift-V. The new paragraph should take on the characteristics
of the old paragraph. Then if certain parts need to be bold or italics, make
those changes.

Good Luck,

Fred

Most résumés in Word are set up as tables, using specific styles. It will
help you to see what you're working with if you display the table gridlines
(Table | Show Gridlines) and the Styles & Formatting task pane (or at least
look at the style box) to see what styles are used for what types of text
and apply them accordingly.

My resume used to be in tables. The new version, as of Sunday, has very
little data in tables. I'm just hoping that the content is more effective
than it had been. FWIW, I'm going for some testing tomorrow at two places.
Keep your fingers crossed!
