How can I add a month or two to a newsgroup

How can I add a month or two to a newsgroup? To clarify: many newsgroups had
messages that were made a few months ago; now those same newsgroups only
have messages starting only a few weeks ago.

There may be a configuration problem with Outlook Express. If there is such
a problem, how would I resolve it?

It's not Outlook Express. The server you're using will only keep posts
for so long and then they get deleted. If you want to see old posts,
you'll have to use Google Groups.
