How can I access Hotmail through Outlook express 2000?

I subscribed to Hotmail Plus and paid the annual fee yesterday, with the
objective of being able to receive my hotmail in Outlook. However in the
insructions it looks like I need an Outlook that is higher version than the
Outlook Express 2000 I have. I updated it with SP3, but still I can not link
the 2.
Can anyone explain what I need to do? Can I get a version that will solve
the problem, for free? Or any alternative solution?
Thanks
Alex

There is not an "Outlook Express 2000" - se help, about to see what version
you really have. If it is outlook, you need at least Outlook 2002. I forget
which version of OE added hotmail support, but you can easily upgrade to the
version if you have an older one that doesn't support it.
