How can clients upload pix & captions?

I have FP2003. I have created web sites for which several clients have
asked me how they can upload pictures and captions themselves.

For example, I have friend who is a realtor and she wants me to create a web
site for her but she wants to be able to update it almost daily with new
photos and descriptions of houses she has listed. I don't want or have time
to do it for her.

What options do I have? Someone here, back a few weeks ago, suggested
something but unfortunately I lost it.

I think you can manage to do this with FP aspupload and/or a
databasesolution, but I have instead used an excellent free imagegallery
from blue-collar produktion, maybe that can help you.

My guess is you client doesn't just want to upload a
picture and caption. They probably want it to go onto a
web page with some other content (banners, contact info,
etc.). I say this as it would not do much good to sit
there on the server with no way for the outside world to
access it.

Unless you are into programming a custom database driven
solution, I would suggest:

1. the photos and descriptions get emailed to you and you
put them onto the web page, or
2. your client purchase a copy of Front Page, learn how
to use it, or
3. if you don't have the time, have your client hire
someone who does.

There have been some interesting suggestions here. Rick is correct in that
they don't just want pictures and captions. They want it on a web page with
their logo, contact info, menu etc etc.

Nobody has mentioned FTP. This may seem like an ultra-simplistic solution
(or maybe creating a bigger problem) but is there some way I can send them
the page in HTML and they make the changes in some simple HTML editor and
the upload just that page using an FTP program.

If they had Front Page, wouldn't it want to over-write all the
pages...?...at least there is the danger of them overwriting everything.

There has GOT to be a simple way for the client to just upload the specific
pages.

FTP will break the FP SE (unless you create a subweb just for the FTP content
Have them get FP or create a custom server side ASP or PHP app as an edit interface for them
