I crunch 1 unit for 5 hours and get a total of 287 points:(
The other day i crunch a unit for 5 hours and get 854 points, both using Boinc.
Why the difference in the points?

Can you list the WU type, time taken and the 3 quorum results for each unit indicating which one was yours and I'll have a look :thumb:

It's not a complaint Ady, it's just a general comment.
I was wondering how WCG go about giving the points out.
Is it on how quick a unit is crunched or what the unit is or how urgent it is needed?

Its based on numerous factors, no one thing, which is why I really need to see the examples so I can comment.

It also depends on the boinc benchmark and the resulting quorum.

I'm happy with how you have described it and when you think of it logically obviously it does depend as you say on different factors. The reason i crunch is the same as others who can use their PC/s for break throughs in the projects that WCG host and give out in managerable work units.
