How 2 stop auto horizontal line insertion in Outlook 2003 replies

Whenever I reply to a message a horizontal line is inserted at end of reply
and before message being replied to. Is there a way to stop this from
automatically happening?

Sure. Don't include the original message in the reply or include it as an
attachment rather than in-line. Tools>Options>E-mail Options.
