hours multiply dollar

I have 5936:45 hours to be paid at $12.23 per hour
how do I acheive the answer please as I get $3025.27
even at $10.00 an hour it should return $59364.50 please
help.

how or why this 1 hour = 0.041669 is beyond me but the number looks better than $3025.2

as explanation:
Excel stores dates/times internally as numbers. 1 day = 1. Therefore 1
hour = 1/24 (which is equal to your value).
