hotmail language

I am in Japan. I have a computer bought in Japan with Windows XP Home Edition. I cannot write in Hotmail emails or search the net with Japanese kanji, only English. The Japanese fonts do not work, neither does the kanji/english key on the keyboard. (Both English and Kanji function normally in Word). Please help. Thank You.

Then you need to install XP in the Japanese language. Operating systems do
not work all across the language barrier in just any one (or just any other
language) installation. There are version for specific languages, and you
will need to purchase a Japanese language version to achieve what you want,
as it seems fairly obvious that you are using an English version.

Dear Tom, thanks for yoru advice. As I had mentioned, I have a computer
purchased in Japan, with Windows XP Home edition, in Japanese (of
course!). Also as I mentioned, Word operates perfectly in all Japanese
fonts. Hotmail and internet search also operated perfectly in Japanese
kanji for two years, because I bought the computer in Japan, with Windows
XP Home edition, in Japanese!

Sorry, as I obviously misunderstood you. This sounds like an Internet
Explorer problem, thinking about it anyway. So try and post your questions
here, both in the English and Japanese IE newsgroups respectively.
