Hotmail and Outlook 2003 - errors

I have been using Outlook with an old hotmail account and it has been working
well. A couple of days ago i got the error message and i cant use outlook at
all now.

Task 'Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error
(0xC00CE508) : 'The server responded 'An invalid character was found in text
content.
'. '

How do i fix this? It is driving me insane not being able to use outlook.

Cheers

Lucy,

From what I have read, but have not tried, is that it is related to a
corrupted message. Access your hotmail account via the web and delete the
messages. Most likely will not be able to see which one is corrupt so
deleteing all may be necessary.

Did you try logging into hotmail on the web interface and deleting the
message?

What pearls of wisdom Bill-

Lucy, I am having the same problem, I have deleted all my email out of
Hotmail, deleted all of the additional folders that I had created and I am
still recieving this error: Task 'Hotmail: Folder: Inbox Synchronizing
headers.' reported error (0xC00CE508): 'The server responded 'An invalid
character was found in text content.

I have contacted Microsoft only to be shuffled from one person to the next
ultimately to end up either here or spending cash to get help, which to me
seems illogical, when my other email accounts that I have linked with Outlook
work appropriately. Have you, or has anyone been able to fix this problem
that microsoft is having?
