HOST PROCESS FOR WINDOWS SERVICE STOPPED WORKING

OPERATING SYSTEM IS A WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM LAPTOP.
I STARTED EXPERIENCING YESTERDAY 2 MESSAGE DISPLAY BOXES
FIRST ONE SAYS : READYBOOST HAS STOPPED WORKING
DIRECTLY AFTER : HOST PROCESS FOR WINDOWS SERVICES STOPPED WORKING AND WAS
CLOSED . INDICATING : A problem caused the application to stop working
correctly Windows will notify you if a solution is avaliable.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS ISSUE?

THANKS

Same problem. Fllowing an update - i started getting the same message every
30 seconds. Tried recommended Microsoft Article 940520 Rev 1.0 dated 7/20.
Requires safe start and deleting files before re-trying Windows Update. Have
tried twice. Didn't work.

Please unstick your capslock for the next post. Typing in all caps is
considered shouting and rude but more importantly makes your post hard
to read.

Since the message is about ReadyBoost, stop using ReadyBoost. If that
solves the problem, then probably the device you are using for
ReadyBoost isn't working properly or is incompatible. To disable ReadyBoost:

Start Orb>Computer. Right-click the icon for the USB thumbdrive you are
using for ReadyBoost and then left-click Properties from the context
menu. Select the ReadyBoost tab. Select "Do not use this device",
Apply/OK out.
