Hi,
Go to http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm >>> Various Registry Fixes
for a REG file to unlock the HomePage.

Then run CWShredder http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html you
may be lucky enough to have the variety that's easy to remove. (Alternate
site for CWShredder http://www.aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip)

If that doesn't resolve the problem, work through these links:
Ad-aware, with the latest updates, has fixed this for many users

Possible spy ware on your system.

Google for SpyBot and download that software. Install it
then upgrade it to include the latest revision, then run
it.

Doing so will see if indeed you have spyware, and it will
remove it.

I had this problem as well. The only way I was able to
restore my home page and keep it restored was to purchase
Spy Sweeper ($29.95 at Best Buy). This cleaned up all
the spyware on my computer and restored my home page. I
keep it running and it occasionally intercepts the trojan
horse that tries to change the home page back to the junk
you described. Good luck!

Just an aside (because the post has been answered already): What gets me is WHY would
anyone think that if they changed my system configuration without my consent, that I'd
ever consider buying a product from a site I'd been hijacked to, or scripted to go to, or
that has annoyingly popped up, or that I've been sent SPAM from. It would have the
opposite effect on me. Anyone who orders anything from a company/person that employs
those tactics is just propagating these practices. Don't buy and let these practices die.

Very likely, that's not all that's happening.

BTW, someone suggested
http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/twc/privacy/spyware.mspx
to find spyware software and the recommendations on that page are
AdAware and SpyBot Search & Destroy.

You need BOTH! Each will find things the other may miss, rarely will
anything be missed but it can and has happened.

BTW, both are free.
