Home page not holding

I have my default home page set to www.yahoo.com, but when I connect to the internet that setting gets lost and it defaults to

res://mshp.dll/index.html#2277

I don't WANT this ! I keep resetting under internet options but it still keeps changing. What can I do?

Sounds like spyware or a home page hijacker.
