Home page is loading slowly

My home page at www.rationality.net seems to be loading very slowly. I have
a cable connection but it takes me 13 seconds to open my home page.

I wonder if, somehow, not only the default page gets downloaded but all the
other pages get downloaded, too. When I click on my URL, the taskbar in my
IE6 browser shows all the pages as they load. Is this possible?

I thought only the default home page is supposed to load when I click on my
URL??

I used FP 97 to 2002 to build the site. Could someone please check the site
and see if this slow opening of the home page is normal.

On my cable connection your entire home page loaded immediately. However 13
seconds is still very good. Browsers only load the page that is linked to
the URL you click or type.

- total file size @ 70K is not too bad

No, I am not going to try prayer. I have more faith in a simplified web
