Home Networking with Home XP and Professional XP

Hello,

My desktop has XP Home Edition. My husband's desktop and laptop have XP
Professional. We have a Linksys router. His desktop and laptop are networked
fine. However, my desktop cannot network with either of his. We've been
through hours and hours of diagnostics to no avail and are both tech savy. Is
there a known problem networking these two versions of windows that I am
unaware of?

There are several known problems with networking 2 computers. Some problems may
involve the 2 editions, others may come from other details. You haven't
provided us a lot of details about your problem yet. Precisely what symptoms
are you reporting for "cannot network with either"?

XP Home and Professional are fully compatible with each other for
networking.
