I want to set up a home network and the main pc im goin to use has got a Sis
900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter and the secondary pc has got a Conexant
Softk56 Modem (M) Can i use these two together ??????

Please learn sentence structure, as it will make your poste easier to
read.

Looking at this last post, it seems you are using dialup to connect to
the net and NOT broadband.

In this case, you are stuck with some sort of Internet Connection
Sharing software. MS has a version, along with other companies; pick
which one you like best (they all suck IMO).

You'll also need NICs in both computers, not just one. You then
connect the two computers together using the NICs and a crossover
cable (networking them together). The machine with the modem is then
the Host - it must dial out for the other computer to be able to
access the net.

This is a cumbersome and awkward process. If you have the ability,
both financially and physicall, to switch to broadband, cable/dsl
routers make this process so much easier.
