I have 7 computers all running XP Pro with all settings
the same and networked successfully for several years
thru a Linksys cat 5 router. All units have several
partitions on the hard drives.
All 7 units show up in My Network Places and all units
see each other,I can select any unit and share files
except for three units.
On these three I can select and share on D and E drive
but on C drive it will open but when I select Program
files or the Windows folder, when the cursor hi-lites it,
it sez Folder is Empty.
When I click on the folder, this pops up: (C)Program Files
is not accessable. You might not have permission to use
this network resource.Contact the administer of this
server to find out if you have access permissions.
When I am on the problem units I can open any files
normally
I have triple checked everything I know of to try and
correct this problem.
Has any one ever run across something like this before ?
The funny part is they all see each other.
Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed.

Be sure that you are logging in as administrator. I
have encountered this before but not on a partitioned
drive. Press ctrl+alt+del on startup to get the true
administrative logon. If this doesn't work check the FAT
on the drive c's to see if it has been converted.

Well here is how I fixed it.
I used Partition Magic to convert back to fat 32,the
problem was solved,so then I converted back to NTFS and
everything is as it should be.
Thanks Terry for your support,it keep me looking.
